I case I was unclear before, this is what happened when I tried to switch adhesives. Not only was it rippling and curling at the edges, it was also very stiff.
(Not something I'd usually complain about, but there you have it.)
Anyway, behold what happened after I switched back to latex glue this morning.
(That's the purple piece you should be looking at, obviously.)

(I wonder if it is even grammatically correct to use a full stop (period, ick) inside brackets? Must look that up.)

You know when you figure something out, and you're all excited to throw caution to the wind and disappear underground for a week and then emerge, triumphant, with a fistful of something fabulous and a sweaty brow? No? Then you need to get out more. Or... less.
Anyway, that was me, and then I got over confident, changed a component and everything ground to a halt. Yeah, I bought a vat of adhesive without latex in it, due to my delicate friend's allergy situation, and guess what, it doesn't work.
Maybe it's great if you slap it all over real skin, but Pieface's haircut grew back in, and my skin is much too expensive now to run around gluing bits together. So, until my new vat of death, ahem, sorry Joy, latex arrives, I am unceremoniously slapped back to reality. The reality where I don't spend hours, tight lipped and swearing over little scraps of faux leather.
So, to bridge that gap, here's what I was doing before my (glue based) world fell apart, also proof that I have too many fake animal hydes, a picture of my painstakingly organised hardware and Shadow, who doesn't get as much airtime as the other two because he's not as silly looking, but I promise you, he's just as cute.

I have figured out (yet) another way to finish the edges of my faux leather to make wristbands. I made a test for myself and I'll wear it around a bit to make sure it holds up well enough, if it does... well then, we are in business because it's about 87362482736 times faster than my old way.
I'll wear it to the Plush & Harmony show tonight, and in case you didn't know, that is a true test of the sturdiness of pretty much anything.
Also, Wicket is now on a diet. I think you can see why.

Ok. I suppose it's time to reinstate my Online Presence. It's been a long enough absence.
I find that when one (me) drops the proverbial blogging ball for an extended period, it's best to break it down into a list so it doesn't get too convoluted;

*I've done a lot of sweet hair extensions (evidence below)
*I've drank a lot of Raspberry Stoli (no evidence of that, you're not going to get that lucky, my friends)
*I've written a lot of silly survey questions for a lot of silly corporate clients.
*I've ridden my bike around, looking cool and batting my eyelashes at handsome young men.
*I've developed a deep and enduring love for Agent Seeley Booth ( I know, ladies... I know)
*I've almost finished my neck tattoo (neck sleeve? Turtleneck?)
*I had a fun 4th of July (evidence below)
*I've settled nicely into my little basement. I don't ever want to move out of it.
*I've made some new friends, but mostly I've realized how incredible the ones I already have are.
*Pieface got a new haircut (evidence below)
*I discovered I live 1 1/2 blocks from the new location of my favourite pizza place ever.
*A gigantic slug has been breaking in and eating Wicket's food (evidence below)
*My tendonitis is back.
*I added to my Eggy collection (evidence below)
*My ears officially match and I bought new jewelry to celebrate.
*Pieface no longer has an irregular heartbeat, and is cleared for a medicine-free existence (for now).
*Wicket is fat (evidence below).
*Shadow is flexible (evidence below).
*I have a confirmed admirer, who lives on my street.
*I only take home men with mustaches who wear rosaries. It is my new standard by which all must comply.
*I am still an insomniac.
*I am developing a pretty nice t shirt collection (evidence below)
*I have given in to the lure of the iphone. I should get it next week. Damn waiting list.
*I am deeply, unapologetically happy to be back in NY.

Well, dear readers, this really is my final post for a week or so (unless my new apt has 'free' internet too!)
I got The Call today that my sweet, and probably illegal, basement is ready for my inhabitation. (Ohh... so it's month to month & you want paying in cash only? I can party with that..)
I have also received news that I can enjoy a healthy discount at All Saints. I am excited. As soon as I get settled I'm heading over there to plump out my wardrobe, I seriously love that store but own nothing from it, all that is about to change my friends.
Change. It's as good as a rest.
Anyway, everything is falling into place. I can take my couch after all, thanks to the services of Dr. Sofa who will disassemble and then reassemble your giant couch to get through your tiny hallways for the princely sum of $175. Much cheaper than buying a new one, I say bring it on!
And so, it is on that positive, sofa related note, that I bid you farewell, safe travels and I'll see you on the other side bitches!

After there was Lita, there was Doro Pesch.
I always liked Doro better... and bear in mind, they didn't really use hair extensions in the 80's.

Ok ok, I said I wasn't blogging again till I moved... what can I say? I'm stuck in Philly and it's raining so I'm pilfering my neighbour's internet connection. I feel justified considering he's a NOISY LITTLE SHIT who wakes me up at all hours with feet that apparently weigh a good 37lbs each.
Anyway, on to more important things, namely, my recent purchases.
I strayed from my fave Etsy shop last week to take a step into the unknown and order from someone new, and guess what happened? Now I have two favourites!
I placed the order on the 19th and when I got back yesterday it was waiting for me at the P.O.
You may refer to my previous post on the subject for actual good quality pictures, I am no photographer, especially on miserable days such as this, stuck inside with only the cats and a cup of tea for company, no natural light for this girl.
The falcon ring was listed with the option of opening up the back of it to make it adjustable, I love this! Why don't more jewelry designers offer this service? My fingers are subject to the Dreaded Bloat in hot weather (I know, it's not glamourous, but it's true) and now I can cross The Bloat off my list of Things To Be Concerned About come summer. So happy about that.
I am definitely going to be ordering some of these drawer handles when I get into my new apt next week. A vegan can never have too many animal skulls around. Wait... that doesn't sound right...
And yes, I am also wearing one of my new Actual Pain shirts. Thanks for asking!

Also, here's a couple of things I made myself recently, the belt has a lot more studs now, I studded the whole buckle section, and put a lot more on the pocket flap. It's pretty serious. The shirt is Dark T Shirt Transfers Pt 11: The Revisitation. I made the actual shirt the transfer is on too. I know, I'm so crafty.
